Christine earned her M.A. in Community Counseling from Eastern Michigan University in 2003. Her undergraduate work at Saginaw Valley State University provided her with a B.A. in Education. Christine specializes in providing substance abuse assessment and treatment services for adolescents and adults with the ultimate goals of increased awareness, education, abstinence, and the attainment of recovery. Her modalities include both outpatient and intensive outpatient services via the use of empirically validated strategies and techniques which provide a stable foundation conducive for effective therapy. At PAR, Christine also provides therapy for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, domestic violence/abuse, and chronic pain. Christine facilitates services for the Re-Entry Initiative for Offenders with Special Needs Program – MPRI and works with the Ingham County Parole Board. Christine is the Relapse Prevention Group Director at PAR. The group provides relapse prevention skills for adults interested in establishing and maintaining abstinence and improving sobriety. Christine also receives referrals from the various probation departments in the area and specializes in assisting individuals on probation for substance abuse offenses to successfully complete their probation. Ms. Humphrey is also a participating member on the staff of the 55th District Court, Sobriety Court, in Mason, Michigan.
